Violet Filter Lens

which lens filter should i buy? a multi coated uv filter or an ordinary circular polarizer?
i want to buy a lens filter to protect my lens, and at the same time improve picture quality. but my budget limits me to just $25.
im looking at these two:
1. Hoya 58mm UV (Ultra Violet) Multi Coated Glass Filter $22
2. HOYA 58CIR 58mm Circular Polarized Filter $20
which one should i buy?
i shoot in standard indoors, which normally is in low light. i also like to shoot portrait with scenery background, when i go to vacation outdoors.
*another option might be is to buy 1 uv (non-coated) and the circular polarizer above, which i think is also non coated
any other suggestions?
You might want to get a plain glass filter that really doesn't "filter" anything, that is a possibility.
A UV lens is nice because it doesn't take much out of the picture, it doesn't do much like I just said but it's ok
A polarizer is a great filter, but it's not going to do much for indoor shots and will most likely hurt your shots as they typically take away a stop or two.
