How much would you normally pay for a Minolta X-7A SLR?
The camera appears to be in very good condition. From the pictures, I don't see any scratches or anything.
Here is a copy and paste of what is included:
"Minolta X-7A SLR 35-mm Film Camera, Fully Manual Operational, Black Body in Mint shape., with original Minolta 50 mm f=1:2 Lens, Brand New Kalimar 80~200 f=4.5~5.6 Auto Zoom, and a Focal 2X Convertor (converts 50 mm to 100 mm, or 80~200 mm to 160~400 mm zoom) "
The price for all is $95. Do you think it could be lowered, or is that a fair price?
It isn't my camera. I need to buy an SLR for school, and I'm wondering if GENERALLY speaking, $95 is a good price for what is listed. I've tried looking up each individual piece, but not much luck. Any advice is appreciated. I know lowering the price is up to the seller, but I want to know how much people would generally pay for this offer?
It never hurts to haggle. You can ask if the seller will take less. The asking price is fair, not a bargain, but fair. I have seen similar packages asking for $150 and $200.
The camera might sell for $25. The 50mm lens for about the same. The zoom lens and the teleconverter for maybe a total of $25-35.
It would be reasonable to offer $75 and see if the seller would accept that.
edit-I can give you a link to a site where you can download .pdf files of Minolta manuals if you do buy the camera. Just send me a message from my profile page.
